Step 1: Initial Consultation
Meet with Welsh Development at our real estate office or a jobsite to discuss your desires. This will give you an opportunity to view the quality of construction we put into our projects.
Step 2: Planning & Design
We will put you in contact with our architect of choice or you may use your own. Your ideas will be transformed to sketches, interior and exterior renderings and floor plans. We will show you different finish options and advise you on the different price levels.
Step 3: Financial Options
We have contacts at several banks that will assist you if needed. They will explain the different options available and offer you the lowest interest rates.
Step 4: Blueprint Approval
You will work directly with the architect in finalizing your blue print. We will be available if you have specific questions about floor layout or mechinacal questions.
Step 5: Permit Processing
The entire process will be handled by Welsh Development. We will work directly with a Chicago project management company who will work directly with the Chicago Department of Construction in obtaining the proper building permit for your home.
Step 6: Ordering and Scheduling
Before construction starts, materials are ordered and everything is scheduled by our project manager.
Step 7: Supervising Construction
You will be assigned a project manager along with myself to manage your project. We will keep you posted regarding the schedule and any other issues that may arise.
Step 8: Construction Guarantee

Step 9: Walk-through
At the conclusion of your project, we will have all inspections done and a thorough cleaning will be provided. Your project manager will walk through with you to ensure complete satisfaction.
